Connect With patricia:

For 20 years, Patricia has been designing handbags for other brands. These years of experiences have sharpened her skills and watered her passion for fashion. Until finally, in 2010, she set out to launch her own brand, Patricia Nash Designs, inspired by a bag she found in her mother's closet. In just a few years, Patricia received an overwhelmingly positive response that her brand has extended to large department stores and even online with HSN. Patricia continues to be constantly inspired by her love for family, passion for travel, and memories she's gained along the way.

Shirley Owens: Hello and welcome back. Today, I'm reflecting on my conversation with Patrician Nash. I know the sound quality wasn't the best, but we actually touched on some really great things so I wanted to make sure it was posted regardless. She is just such an amazing lady and a great example and inspiration to us so I feel super honored to get to know her. In this time of covid-19, we are faced with some big changes, some uncertainties and most likely some fears. I really loved the part of our convo about family and the importance of balancing that time with other things in life that can distract us like our businesses, or hobbies, or anything out there. We've talked about distractions before.

I think we have some good takeaways from this quarantining time and I just wanted to share a couple things. First of all, how are you all doing with this? How are your relationships now that you're spending a lot more time together, especially in an uncertain time like this? My oldest daughter, Kenzie and her family are staying with us while their house is being finished, and I cannot tell you how much I've enjoyed having my sweet grand babies here. Kenzie is a cosmetologist and yesterday we decided to dye everyone's hair. We have pink, red, bleached purple, we've had a blast and got to try some new things because of the quarantining, and I don't know, I just wanted to share that we're trying to come up with some fun things to be able to get through this time with positivity.

So this week, I would have you slow down more than you already are. Take a look around you, look inside yourself, what feels important to you? What can you create within your home, and space, and with the people you love? How can you make this experience a positive one to remember? Remember, you are a creator. What a great way to watch life happening around us completely out of our control outside of our own space, but there's so much that we can create inside it.

I love you all. Be safe and well, and I will see you next
