Shirley Owens: Hello and welcome back, today, I'm reflecting on my convo with Brian Belefant. He and I talked about dating and some ways to make it more successful. Have you ever thought about what life would be like if you could just be yourself, like totally yourself and others would just love every part of you? How often have you been able to do that? Something I've learned through my relationships and trials is that when you can be your true self and not vary from that, the people you attract are your people, they're your tribe. They're actually the people that you will enjoy hanging out with the most. Way too often, we as humans, try to impress others by acting like someone else. It makes no sense, right? Yet we do it and then we wonder why it isn't working out.

This week, I want you to look at your relationships. Can you see places where you may be working way too hard? If so, do you feel like you were totally truthful with that person as to who you are? Because if you were and still are completely yourself, then maybe the other person wasn't truthful about who they were. Maybe it's time to have that deep, truthful conversation with them to determine what it is that makes your relationship work and what makes it so hard. The cool thing about this is that you get to be whoever or whatever you want to be and other people get to make a choice whether they stay in the relationship or leave it, and the same goes for you. If someone in your life is just being them and you struggle with it, you get to accept them how they are, redefine the relationship or you can leave it altogether. I know that sometimes it's really hard to sort through this with relationships that you're already in, but when you clean it all up, current relationships will either thrive or they won't be holding you back anymore and new relationships will come easy and you will live a life of alignment and peace.

I am so grateful to have figured this out in my life. I have in all of my relationships. Are there some times of drama, or stress, or disagreements? Of course, but I no longer have this constant resistance around me. My wish for you is that you can also create this in your life and in your relationships. I love you all, have a wonderful week of creating joyful relationships and I will see you next Tuesday.
