Shirley Owens: Hello and welcome back. Today, I'm reflecting on my convo with Angela Lauria. Angela was my 50th episode, and I'm super excited to have made it this far. She is an amazing person. It was such a fun conversation. I would say that the most important takeaway for me is something that's totally changed my life for good and that is to just be me. I have spent so much of my life not realizing that, being me, was the best version of me, that there was sure I could fit into any situation since I'm quite the survivor.

But there was always a part of me that felt like I didn't fit in anywhere completely. What I realized is once I could just be me, authentically just me, I fit in everywhere. I've heard it said in different ways, but I believe it was Esther Hicks that had talked about this and I added my own twist to it, and that is when you are being your authentic self, like really being you, people will either vibrate in or they will vibrate out.
“Once I could be authentically me, I fit in anywhere.” -Shirley Owens
I picture a disc that's vibrating, I'm in the middle of it, things are coming towards me, things are going away for me, I think for the longest time I would hold on tight to those that were vibrating out, maybe a job, maybe people, maybe some beliefs, but something's always vibrating out and I didn't want anyone to not like me, and I kind of have a fear of losing people so I would just hold on tight as they were hanging off the edge. Holding on is exhausting. I don't know if you've had this feeling, but it's exhausting. It took away from what I had to give to those that were actually in this with me. Once I started allowing myself to be me, and to let everything around me organically happen. But with me in control of myself, I was able to let go where I needed to. Have gratitude for what was right in front of me, and everything in life became so much easier and so much more enjoyable.

So this week, I would have you look deep inside of yourself. Who are you being? Are you being you? Are you being what other people want you to be? Are there people in your life right now that you feel would vibrate out if you were a hundred percent yourself around them? Look at those relationships. Are they exhausting? When you can be you in every moment of every day and allow everything and everyone that doesn't align with you to vibrate out, you will find that everything becomes easier. It becomes lighter, more enjoyable, and for sure less exhausting. I promise you, your life is worth loving. I love you all so much and I hope you have an amazing week. I will see you next Tuesday.
